Feels much more comfortable handling a kit with its size and detailing. With the announcement of the MG kit, I no longer have any reason to get the inferior HG version (Already cancelled the PO) any more since MG kits are my fave amongst all the scales of gunpla out there. I did mentioned before that I love the samurai vibes on an Astray Red Frame so much, the base body used for this kit, that I’ve placed a PO on its HG kit which will be released next Moon. Incidentally, Sengoku Astray will make appearance in this week’s episode of Gundam Build Fighters! W00t! The MG Sengoku Astray caught my attention. I guess that could be applied to other units from the anime too since most if not all of them are customised from major base bodies available. It’s no surprise the protag’s main gunpla units, the Build Strike Gundam and Build Gundam Mk II, received an MG kit since their base body MG Strike Gundam and MG Gundam Mk II already have a Version 2.0 mould. While there are many prototypes and announcements being made, my eyes are currently fixed upon the new 2014 lines of Master Grade kits of the latest series Gundam Build Fighters’ gunpla form.^_~ They’re a bit pricey, but they work wonders.Gunpla Expo World Tour Japan 2013 is now on-going (21st – 24th of November) and with it comes the news on various upcoming and future projects on them Gunpla. Liquid chrome markers can be purchased at arts and crafts supply stores, as well model shops, and are ideal for adding that chrome finish to your models. To answer that, I used a grey Gundam marker and a red Gundam marker to paint the grey and red of the handles, a yellow Sharpie oil-based paint marker to paint the yellow on the blade guard and the bottom of the hilt, and a liquid chrome marker to get the chrome silver of the blades. You all are probably wondering what I did with the swords. )Īs you can see, I detailed mine to get it looking more anime accurate. With a little paint and panel lining, you can have this kit looking like it came straight out of the anime. However, this is where your painting and detailing skills come into play.
Also, the demon shield (not shown in this picture), like the swords, is completely unpainted, with the only color being the red plastic it’s molded out of, and has no sticker decals. This kit can come off a bit disappointing at first, because the swords are both molded out of white plastic, and use sticker decals to add the chrome of the blades.
:) It just looks awesome, and there’s also a kind of beauty to the traditional samurai theme of it. :) This, in my opinion, is one of the coolest looking Gunpla from the Build Fighters series. This is the High Grade 1/144 Sengoku Astray Gundam from Gundam Build Fighters.
