They seem to have a fairly high tolerance for crashing, despite their injuries, but drive carefully anyway. Too many bumps - collisions of any kind, in other words - will kill your passengers. In theory, you’re supposed to drive carefully. Since the only way to add more time is by picking up passengers, it’s usually best to find and rescue the closest ones first in each stage. However, your ambulance can only hold three passengers at once, so you’ll need to plan carefully to keep from running out of time. Vice City’s Paramedic mission has 12 stages, each with more people to transport. Now it’s back to the hospital, where you’ll receive a cash reward and a new round of folks to save, but no additional time.

Stop nearby, and they’ll climb into the back of the ambulance, adding extra time to your timer in the process. They always spawn closest to the hospital you begin at - if you start with Schuman, for example, you won’t have NPCs waiting in Ocean Point - and are marked on the radar as yellow squares.

Once you start the mission, you’ll have roughly a minute to find your first injured NPC. You’ll use just the one type of ambulance. Unlike other vehicle missions, there are no alternate vehicles you can use to complete these tasks. The Ocean View Medical Foundation doesn’t technically count as a hospital, and an ambulance never spawns at Westhaven Community Healthcare Center. We've marked them in red on the map below.
